Dog Portrait Photography Mentoring

Simon Downing is a lifestyle Photographer based in the Wirral, Cheshire. Covering all forms of portraiture Simon has a particular love of pet portraits and in particular dogs.

Simon had a few short mentoring sessions with me with the aim to passing his Qualified status,

Initially Simon sent me 30-40 images that he had taken in his studio. During our fun and informal mentoring sessions we were able to narrow the selection down to a panel of beautiful dog portraits that passed Qualification, the judges particularly commented on the quality of the styling, lighting and the post production of these wonderful images filled with character.

Simon is now working towards his Craftsman panel which I am sure will be as equally impressive!

Good to get some technical feedback and make adjustments where necessary. Very useful to know exactly what the judges are looking for.

You gave me confidence in my work as that has always been an issue for me. You have also encouraged me to go further after Qualification.
