Mixed Genre Photography Mentoring

Danielle Claire is a talented young photographer based in Lancashire, who captures the hidden gems of our country and preserving them with her camera. capturing emotion, mood and atmosphere. Seeing hidden details overlooked by most. Danielle prefers to leave her images as she captures them through the lens, unretouched and pure.

I first met Danielle at The Photography Show in Birmingham a few years ago for a short mentoring session via The Royal Photographic Society.

I had the pleasure of viewing Danielle's wonderful portfolio that she was working towards her degree show, giving advise and encouraging her to continue with her pure style of photography. For me the way in which Danielle sees images like no others I found refreshing and unaffected which was wonderful to see.

Over the years I have supported Danielle in different ways, with camera advise, encouraging her when she has lost her creative stimulus, through to writing her personal statement to present to her tutors at the end of her Degree.

It has been an absolute pleasure for me to see Danielle's work develop and her confidence grow over the years.

With her first class degree and wonderful eye I cannot wait to see where Danielles journey takes her!

First Class BA (Hons) in ‘Photographic Media’

Earlier this year I started looking at photography, gradually getting my motivation back, which prompted me to contact my photography mentor Saraya Cortaville, I attended her Mindfulness Photography Course in Cornwall which allowed me to revisit my photography career in a new way and encouraging me to showcase my creative side.

You have helped me so much with looking at a new direction for my photography and showed me a way forward when I was stuck on what I wanted out of my career! Literally are my Photography mother, can’t wait to work and learn more off you in the years to come!
