With a very busy few weeks behind me, I have finally managed to sit down and write a couple of blogs to update you all on what I have been upto!
Four London shoots, a couple of training days, and talks, it has been non stop! So get ready for a stream of lovely little blogs over the next few weeks!
Also a very exciting trip to a filming day with Fujifilm, with some other X photographers was a great
I often do training for various photography groups and companies, but the most enjoyable for me are the one to one days that I run. With these I am really able to tailor the training the the specific photographer and their needs!
All the photographers that I train in this way, leave the day with a renewed confidence in their skills, and inspiration of where to take their work in the future!
The other day I was lucky enough to meet the very enthusiastic and energetic Piers, who is a very keen amateur who was looking for some portraiture experience! And of course I was happy to help!
We spent the morning going through some technicalities, and settings that I use for my portraits.
A quick critique of some of his most recent work, with pointers on where to improve.
And before we headed out for our live shoot, I explained the various pieces of kit that I recommend specifically for portraiture.
The afternoon, was a live shoot with our fabulous model Darcy, in lovely Pittville Park, Cheltenham. A wonderful location, which always lends itself to natural portraits.
During this part of the day we covered,
Scouting for the best locations for portraits.
Seeing the light, and how to shape it for beautiful portraits.
Posing and composition for portraits.
We took a wide variety of images, all ready for Piers to use for his now updated portfolio of images.
If you would like to join me on any of my training days, please do not hesitate to contact me. For prices and more details see the training page on my website. I look forward to hearing from you, to chat about how we can take your photographic skills to the next level.
