So just before my epic adventure to Nepal with Raleigh international at the end of January, i received a lovely email from The British institute of Photography Head office informing me that my two portfolio entries into their National awards had been nominated in the finals!
I normally am a judge for this very prestigious photography competition, so really wasn’t sure how my entries had faired!
My entries, the first in the portraiture category, were for a series called “On the buses” a shoot which I had done for The Children of London, and for Great Ormond Street. It was a fabulous shoot where I was given a vintage double decker bus for the day, to shoot the portraits of three gorgeous little ones! A real treat!
The second set of five images that have been nominated were from my Fellowship panel, that I completed after my first trip away with Raleigh International to Tanzania.
Unfortunately I will still be in Nepal for the awards ceremony, and so will not know the final result on the night, but I wish, good luck to all of the other entries on what I am sure will be a great celebration of some wonderful photography!
Please do give me a call if you would like to capture you or your family on a fabulous location portrait shoot, in or around London.
Lots of Love Saraya xx
