Family portraits by the Sea!

A birthday celebration was the reason for this wonderful family to contact us for a photoshoot by the Seaside in Southend!

Three generations of the girls got together for afternoon tea at the lovely Roslyn hotel in Thorpe Bay, and decided to mark the occasion with a  family shoot on the beach.

We had discussed outfits for everybody beforehand, and the girls had decided upon a casual blue and white theme, which worked perfectly with the seaside location of the shoot. The girls especially matched with their stripy outfits, perfectly contrasting with the yellow stripy beach huts where we began our shoot on the seafront.

Even though it was VERY VERY windy that day and the tide was in, we still managed to get down onto the beach. The girls (and nanny!) loved looking for shells and pieces of drift wood to take home, the bag ended up very heavy with a lovely collection of shells! I even got to take a few home!

The girls Erin and Harley were really very good at having their portraits taken, they had fun running up and down the beach and hopping from beach hut to beach hut!

By the time it was time for tea they were both very windswept and very hungry! And we had managed to capture some really precious moments of these girls together to mark a lovely occasion!

If you too would like to celebrate a special occasion with a family photoshoot in a location of your choice please do have a look at the rest of my portrait portfolio for a bit of inspiration!

Or if you would like to contact me to discuss your particular requirements please do feel free, I would love to hear from you!
